Mandy's Baby Shower

My BFF is having a baby boy in October! Mandy picked a cute nautical theme so Misty Heard and I had a great time decorating. Mandy looked so cute with her precious baby bump. Sooo excited to meet him! Oh and the cake was soooo good! Kerri Yee made it and is opening up a bakery at 9th & Main- Frosty, The Bakery!

K-U-B-A is BACKKKK!

Kuba is baaaccckkk! We have played and played and played since he got back. It has been sooo much fun! We love our Kuba!

18 MONTHS!!!

I'm 18 Months Old! Here is what I'm up to these days....

• Love to wrestle and play swords!
• Wear size 5 diapers
• Love to drink whole milk and ice water
• My favorite treats are teddy grahams, whales, popsicles, and raisens
• Shows my muscles
• Loves to be outside, play in my pool, and water the flowers
• Have 10 teeth
• Scared of the vacuum, lawn mowers, and loud cars
• Says: more, help, ball, momma, daddy, papaw, nawnaw, poppa, deedee, E.E., wawa, pop, bubble, on, off, bye,bye, hi, hello, voom, voom, no, go, GoGo, Bobo, eyes, etc.
• Makes all the animal sounds: dog, cat, sheep, horse, cow, duck, pig, elephant, lion, monkey, gorilla, snake
• Points to all his body parts
• Knows the moves to "This Little Light of Mine"
• Loves to pray at dinner time
• Wants to read books and point to the pictures
• Can recognize Daddy, Mommy, and grandparents in a picture
• Can jump and act like a plane

Father's Day 2011

• Happy Father's Day to John. You are the best daddy to Jack and a wonderful husband to me. You are our rock. I love you more each day.
• To my Daddy- You have always been the voice I listened to for advice and reason. You are a strong man and a tender daddy. I love you so very much!
• To my father-in-law "Big John"- You are an amazing man, daddy and grandpa. I am so lucky to have you in my life. Thanks for loving me like your own. I love you.

Fathers Day weekend was amazing. I got the opportunity to go with my Daddy to Garden Fest at the OSU Botanical Gardens. It was breath taking! Since my Daddy had a flower & garden center after he retired and I worked there, we both have a love for the outdoors and plants. This was the perfect thing for us to do together. We listened to a hilarious speaker, then I won a beautiful door prize, then we walked through the gardens, and ate lunch outside! I love you Daddy and will always remember spending this day with you. Shout out to "NawNaw" for keeping Jack for me. Jack had a blast:)

Jack the Fisherman

I went fishin' with daddy for the first time! I'm a natural fisherman...I caught a fish every time!

(The fishing pole has a plastic fish on the end:) I LOVE FISHING WITH DADDY!!!

SPLASH PAD!

We have made a discovery...the Perkin's Splash Pad! We got there early an avoided the crowd and it was so nice. Jack had no fear and ran back and forth and back and forth. Our friend, Becca, and her beautiful daughter, Olivia, joined us for some fun. I used to work with Becca and they live in Perkins so they were able to show us what it was all about. Water that sprays from the ground + a playground next to it = a little boy's wonderland! Thanks Becca and Olivia for spending the morning with us...we loved the Splash Pad!!!

GRANDEE....DEEDEE

It's official. GranDee is now DeeDee in Jack's book. We point to her picture and he says DeeDee and we point to Nenaw and he says Nawnaw. Don't worry NeNaw, I am working on it:) Anyways, John is extremely busy during the month of June and our babysitter went to Disney world, so GranDee came to the rescue and stayed with Jack for 3 days while I worked. A short run down of their activities (that I'm aware of!): starbucks, park, slide, taught him to act like a plane, built sand castles, fed the ducks, pet store, grocery store, ride in a car basket, wrestling, puzzles, new Diego p.j.'s and flashcards...etc. Wow GranDee- You are an amazing DeeDee! Jack is so lucky to have two wonderful grandmas in his life.
